Good Neighbors

There is something wonderful about having these two machines next to each other. High-end German engineering and styling next to the ultimate Italian power and beauty, all within one look.

There is this small motorcycle parking lot at the back of the Engineering Quad, where most people pass through when going to lunch, and whenever these two machines are parked next to each other people stop and talk about them. It is a strange feeling to walk past a group of people discussing your motorcycle.

I don't know the owner of the Moto Guzzi, if it was he or she who put the piece of wood under my stand last week to avoid it sinking into the warm asphalt: Thanks for caring!

My appreciation for Italian motorocycles was clearly defined by having the president of Ducati America as my next door neighbor for my last few years of living in Dutchess County. Hooo baby! Those bikes are total hotties. But I will forever be a sucker for the rumble of a hog.
