Steve and I are working hard to get the paper selection done for DOA'2004. Our lives have been significantly complicated by the fact that 7 or 8 of our reviewers didn't turn in their reviews at all. Which is extremely unprofessional to say the least. I am considering some retaliation, so if you are one of that group and you still need tenure, you better be afraid. We only have 5 days total to sort everything out so we are doing a lot of the last minute reviewing ourselves.

Vindictive, according to the dictionary:

showing malicious ill will and a desire to hurt

I think that sums up me feelings about this quite well...

Busy with conferences
Excerpt: I've been doing a lot of conference-related work lately. As a co-chair for DOA with Vinny and Werner, I recently had to go through the paper selection process. It's never any fun, especially when some of the PC members don't do their reviews! But we go...

I can't offer to review papers, but I can sympathize. I think there should be a blacklist office where someone who blows off a PC can be assured of never serving on one again.
