Feed Analysis: Feeds per Reader

The reading of rss/atom feeds by the aggregators show less extremes that the data about readers per feed. Even though there are a few readers that seem to poll more than a 1000 feed, 90% of the readers tracks 250 feeds or less. The average is somewhere around the 120 feeds per user. Whether the pattern is triggered by human limitations or by interest patterns is unknown.

The graphs are pretty self-explanatory:

This histogram shows the number of feeds that subscribed per aggregator.

The cumulative distribution also shows that the 1000+ feed readers are an exception.
