Geeks, Customers and Nethack Gloves

I don't redirect to other essays often, but you have to go read Eric Sink's essay on Geek Gauntlets if you have any interest in the software industry or if you work for a small company that caters to developers. Having run a small company myself for a number of years, everything in Eric's story resonates strongly with my own experiences. And his analogy with the useless gloves from Nethack is truly brilliant.
