F@%#*$ Laywers

I haven't had such a good beginning of a week as today. Go over to the Smoking Gun to read this legal brief prepared by a public defender to dismiss the case against his juvenile client who shouted some profanities at his high-school principal. Make sure to read all the pages of the brief. F@%#*$ hilarious.

Excellent! I've only just started it, but I wonder, do they mention that the word in question is allowed on British television after 9? We don't gets bleeps here, which may explain why British blogs use more profanity sans-***s. :-)

Well, here you can only get it if you pay extra for it ... HBO and friends do not follow the same rules. The hip-hop hour on MTV sound really weird with all the inserted silences.

The dutch equivalent can be heard throughout the day on Dutch television and radio. Not used by the news reporters themselves, but if caller or interviewee uses it, it is certainly not censored. And of course the Dutch soap operas are filled with explicit language.
