Can you carry this for me?
Wow! 20.1 inch screen & 20.8 pounds; Introducing the Dell XPS M2010. I have been looking for a new laptop but for some reason I don’t see myself walking around with this one... It will be an interesting challenge to open it up in your economy airplane seat. Base price $3800.

Back in the mid-80s I used to have to travel between Boston and San Francisco with my "portable" computer: a Compaq. Portable? Luggable, perhaps: I think they weighed about 28 pounds.
I remember once landing at SFO on a TWA L1011 (those were the days!) and when I reached the top of the jetway, I realized I'd forgotten my computer! I explained to the flight attendant (they were still called "hostesses", I think), that I needed to go back to get something from the mid-cabin closet. "Oh, you mean your sewing machine?" she said. Close enough....
I picked up one of the 17-inch Dell Duo-Core 9400s in it prior to the longest flight I've been on (Atlanta to Shenzhen, China) and I couldn't believe how well it worked / fit on all legs of the trip on the airplane. The key for me was the keyboard is far back tight near the monitor so there is some room for the hands to stick out.
The monster 17-inch fit much better than my old 14-inch Toshiba. I'm not sure about the 20-inch, but if the body edge to lift-latch is the same as the 9400, and I suspect it is, I'll bet it fits perfect on airplanes! (Of course, your side-passenger may hate you ;) ).
Actually scrap that comment... that thing is COMPLETELY differt, holy cow!
